Corneluis Israels was born in the Netherlands on November 30, 1897. On November 6, 1920, he married Sena Riemersma (1900-1985) in Olive Township, Ottawa County, MI.The couple lived at 75 River Avenue from 1921 through 1940 (Holland City directories). Cornelius was employed by the Holland Furnace Company.
Cornelius passed away in Holland, MI on November 3, 1959.
Because Cornelius was not a US citizen when he married Sena, even though she was born in the US, she had to apply to take an oath of allegiance to the US.
