Autograph book, rectangular in shape with a wire, spiral binding. The book has a light brown cover. The donor's name (Phil Kimberley) and address (90 East 38th St., Holland, Mich) appear on the cover.There are four loose pieces of paper tucked inside. Each contains an autograph. The first paper (2005.5.343a) contains autographs from the American folk group the Brothers Four. The second paper (2005.5.343b) contains the autograph of James Drury (1934-2020), star of the 1960s television show the Virginian. The third paper (2005.5.343c) contains the autograph of Detroit Tigers radio announcer Ernie Harwell. And, the fourth paper contains the autograph of the actor Clint Walker (1927-2018), star of movies and tv.
Other autographs inside the book include Rocky Marciano and Billy Noble.
History
Items in accession 2005.5 belonged to Phil Kimberley (1940-2011). Phil, the son of Walter and Helen Kimberley, grew up in Holland, MI.As a child, he was a member of the Third Reformed Church in Holland and later attended Hope Church. Phil's career was in the retail and wholesale clothing industries. In retirement, Phil collected coins and served as a docent at the Holland Museum and Cappon House.
