Newspaper clippings announcing the wedding of Henry & Geneviene Weyenberg, married Thursday, June 18, 1936, in Grand Rapids Michigan. They lived in Holland on 23rd Street after getting married.History
This wedding dress was worn by the donor's mother, Genevieve Van Houtum (1912-1988), when she married the donor's father, Henry Weyenberg (1909-2001). The wedding took place in June of 1936 in Grand Rapids, MI. The 1938 Holland city directory shows that the young couple was living in Holland at 587 Lawndale Ct. By 1960 they were living at 841 South Shore Dr in Holland.Henry worked at Holland Furnace as chief engineer, production manager and vice-president. He died in Holland, MI in 2000, Genevieve died in Holland in 1988. Both are buried in Pilgrim Home Cemetery.
