Tour Guide of Tulip Time's Little Netherlands Exhibit. The Story of Little Netherlands, A Tulip Time Exhibit article was written by S.H. (Sipp) Houtman, one of the designer's and builder's of the exhibit. Little Netherlands was an exhibit started in 1938 and was designed by Sipp H. Houtman. It was located at 13th and Central. Houtman was the Tulip Time festival manager, starting in 1938. In 1935, he began creating a full-sized Dutch village. In 1936, he created Little Netherlands, debuting it in 1938. Sipp was a former postmaster at Holland Post Office.
History
