Photograph from June 1965 showing Holland Furnace president Howard O. Plaggemars shaking hands with Assembly Department Foreman Elmer Berens.  The first Miracle iron Furnace can be seen on the assembly lines.  At right, Sales manager Simon Stoel and Production Manager Henry Weyenberg look on.
History
The donor's father, Elmer L. Berens, worked for the Holland Furnace Co. in Holland, MI.

Elmer was born in Overisel, MI on 6-8-1919 to Harm and Clara Berens. Elmer married Muriel Vander Popper in Overisel on 3-14-1941. They later lived in Hamilton, MI.

Simon Stoel was born in Holland, MI on 11-2-1912 to Albert and Bertha Stoel. He married Genevieve Slagh in Holland on 10-1-1937. Holland city directories show that Simon was working for the Holland Furnace Company as early as 1931. By 1965, the date of this newsletter, Simon had 34 years in at Holland Furnace.

Henry Weyenberg was born in Grand Rapids, MI on 8-2-1909. By 1938 (Holland city directory) he was living with his wife Genevieve in Holland, MI at 587 Lawndale Ct and Henry was working for the Holland Furnace Company. They were still living on Lawndale in 1949 (Holland city directory). By 1954 they had moved to 1575 South Shore Dr in Holland and Henry was working for the Weyenberg Supply Company.
