Description

Brown, glass bottle with black cap and yellow label. The bottle IS empty. The front of the label reads "V2 SPRAY" and "Vermi-Tox Product". Beneath this part of the label are the following words: "SUITABLE FOR USE ON ANY FABRIC OR ANY SUBSTANCE OF ANIMAL ORIGIN".
On the back of the label the words "VERMI-TOX LABORATORIES, HOLLAND, MICHIGAN, U.S.A." appear.

History

In 1934 the DePree Company of Holland, MI, manufacturers of Vermi-Tox (a parent company of Vermi-Tox Labs) had a libel lawsuit filed against them by the US attorney for the District of Oregon. There were claims made that this product had misleading information on the label. The DePree Company was charged with violating the Insecticide Act of 1910.
