History

George Pierson Hummer was born on 12-25-1856 in New Jersey. He married Margaret Plummer in Holland, MI on 3-26-1885.

At one point George served as mayor of Holland, superintendent of schools in Holland and first president of the West Michigan Furniture Company, where this photograph hung.
