History
George Slikkers, Jr. was born in Ottawa County, MI on 11-20-1928 to George and Lena Slikkers. George, Jr. grew up in Holland and graduated in 1950 from Hope College with a degree in chemistry and math.
In 1949 George married Marilyn. They lived in Holland, MI at 357 Graafshap Road (1952 directory) and, later, at 629 Concord Drive (1960 directory).
In 1952 George, Jr. began working at Parke-Davis.

I'm told that the wax was not a big seller due to the fact that once it dried it was difficult to wipe off of the automobile. George, Jr. had a small building on south Washington, in Holland, Mi, where he manufactured the wax.
