Description
Program from the service for the organization of the First Presbyterian Church in Holland, MI, 6-29-1958.  Includes a list of charter members, of which Alfred and Lois Kane are a part of.
History
Alfred Kane was born to Thomas and Bernice Kane on 10-17-1925. The family lived at 331 West 20th in Holland, MI (1929, 1938, 1942 city directories). He married Lois Bok on 6-24-1949 in Forest Grove, Ottawa Co., MI. Al and Lois lived at 1680 West 32nd in Holland, MI (1958, 1966 city directories).

Al served in the Army Air Corps from 1943 to 1946. After the war he was the sole proprietor of the company Kane Konstruction from 1959-1989. He built many homes in the Holland and South Haven areas.

Al and his wife Lois were founding members of the First Presbyterian Church. Al was also a Scoutmaster for many years. In 1961 he was given the "Silver Beaver" award for distinguished service.

Al passed away on 2-25-2018.
