The Lubbers farm sat where the Life Saver’s factory once sat, on East 48th Street in Holland, MI. Berend Lubbers was born in Bentheim, Germany in 1803. He arrived in America with his family in 1857. By 1860 the family had settled in Fillmore Township on their farm.The farm was sold in 1964 for $100,000 to Head Corp. By 1966 Life Savers was building on the property.
