Adding machine used at A.D. Bos in Holland, MI, by Alvin D. Bos (1908-1984). Alvin started A.D. Bos in 1940. By the 1950s the company had gotten into the vending machine business.Alvin, a Holland, MI resident, married Eunic Hyma (1909-1995) in Holland on 4-30-1932. Their son Tom G. Bos joined the family business in 1966 when they had only three employees. By 1994, the company had grown to 85 employees.
