History
Margaret Van Vyven taught in the Holland Public Schools from 1931-1940 in grades kindergarten through fourth. She worked as music supervisor from 1941-1955 and as elementary coordinator from 1955 until her retirement in 1973. She was honored as parade marshal for two different Tulip Times, in 1979 and in 2000. Margaret was the daughter of John Van Vyven who was the original directory of the Holland American Legion Band. Her mother was Anna.
