History
The Park Theater was built in 1920 at 248 River Ave in Holland, MI by John Raven and John Kramer. Originally called the Colonial Theater, Raven and Kramer operated the theater for less than two years. By 1929 Henry G. Carley (1883-1958) had taken over theater ownership. Henry ran the theater until 1958, the year he passed away.
By 1949 the name had been changed from Colonial to Park. By 1962 management had changed hands. B.T. Ely (1900-1994) was now in charge of the Park Theater. Over the years management would change several times. Dean Merrihew (1977) and Kay Felker (1981) also ran the Park Theater.
