Description
Copy of two photographs of entries in a Tulip Time parade. The top photo lists several Holland industries as a sponsor of a 1970s' float: Holland Ladder, Prince, Slickcraft, Swift Ice Cream, Holland Diecasting, Holland Hitch, Northern Fiber, Hart & Cooley, Thermatron and Holland Transplanter. The bottom photo shows several children from the first grade at Washington School of Holland Public Schools in 1977. They are holding a banner as they march. Pictured are from left: Raquel Mireles, Tom Huttar, Juan Rivera, and Monica Vergara.

Randall P. "Randy" Vande Water was a local historian and newspaper editor. He spent 4 decades at the Holland Sentinel working as sports editor, city editor, editorial page editor, and managing editor.
