Description
Article from the Holland Sentinel from June 22, 1972 about Joseph Moran and renaming the park at Pine and 21st Street to the Joseph Moran Recreational Area. At that time Moran was in his 43rd year of involvement in the athletic and recreational activities in the City. He was the Civic Center manager and Recreation Director starting in 1964. Joseph began working as a supervisor of physical education in the Holland elementary schools in 1930. Moran was also the coach of tennis his teams won many championships.
