History
This painting belonged to Holland, MI residents Tyler and Ada Louise Van Landegend. After their passing their daughter became the painting's owner.
Lois Van Landegend (1912-1988) operated the Old Antique Shop on west 8th Street for 44 years. The Police Department/court building is now located on the site of the antique store.

The donor, Etta Hesselink, moved to Holland, MI in 1973 with her late husband Dr. I. John Hesselink. Dr. Hesselink became the President of Western Theological Seminary.
Etta became friends with Lois Van Landegend Sinke (she had married Frank Sinke in 1944). She saw the painting hanging in Lois' Old Antique Shop and had admired it. Lois Sinke bequeathed the painting to Etta in her will. Lois Sinke died in 1988.
