Description
A column written by Randy Vande Water for the Holland Sentinel on June 19, 2011. In honor of Juneteenth, Randy wrote about Silas (no surname known) was believed to be the first African-American who came to live in Holland in 1873. Silas served as the City Hotel's bus driver.
