James F. Essenberg operated Essenberg Studio at 208-201 River Ave in Holland, MI from about 1967 to 1986. By 1990 James had moved his studio into his home at 154 Standish St in Holland. He lived here with his wife Helen from about 1974 to 1997.The Essenberg photograph and negative collection covers the years 1972 to 1992 roughly. There are numerous senior photos from West Ottawa, Holland High and Holland Christian. There are numerous family photos, Holland families. There are business card photos, passport photos, all Holland people. A small sample of the dogs will be kept to document Essenberg’s career. All images related to Zeeland will be set aside and donated to ZHS.
