Description
Commemorative plate from First Reformed Church.  On the front is a pen and ink image of the church from the 1850s.  On the back is a list of pastors from 1869 to 1961.  The actual history provided on the back of the plate covers 1847 to 1962.
History
The First Reformed Church in Holland, MI first met in a log structure in 1848. This building, located in what is now Pilgrim Home Cemetery, was used until 1856. The large, brick building that sat at the southeast corner of Central and 9th was built in 1886 and served the church until 1962.
