History
Peter Augustus Peterson was born in 1830 in Switzerland. He emigrated to the United States before the Civil War. On May 19th, 1864, he enlisted in the 132nd Illinois Infantry Co. I, in which he served until October 17th, 1864. In 1874, he moved to Holland, Michigan. He passed in late April 1902, and is interred in Pilgrim Home Cemetery in Holland MI.
