Description
A negative of a float for a parade.  It is an open wagon drawn by two horses.  There are men and boys standing by and on the float.  Some of them appear to be in Boy Scout uniforms, while others are wearing regular clothes.  The front of the float has two piles of evergreen limbs and four boys in Scout uniforms.  One is holding a booklet as if he were reading from it.  There is a sign on the side of the float by this section that reads, "Our Gang Directed."  The back of the float is separated from the front by a curtain and has two boys in regular clothes.  One is holding a booklet.  There is also a sign on the side that reads, "Our Gang _____".
History
Randall P. "Randy" Vande Water was a local historian and newspaper editor. He spent 4 decades at the Holland Sentinel working as sports editor, city editor, editorial page editor, and managing editor. ;
