History
Myna (Minnie) VanSlooten. Minnie was born in 1879 to Folkert (Frank) and Batje (VanEyk) VanSlooten. She was born in Holland (Township), Michigan. Myna’s siblings are Gerrit, Menno, John, Lous, Henry, Martin, Frank, Benjamin and Edward. The family lived on Adams Street near 104th Ave., next to the Macatawa River. Myna graduated from Hope Preparatory School in 1896. Myna married Floyd I. Burroughs in 1920, Bert Ollis in 1930 and Theodore Jorgensen in 1937. Myna lived in Marne, MI for 33 years. Myna died in 1970; she is buried in Pilgrim Home Cemetery. Myna did not have children of her own. Donor is grandniece. ;
