Description
A small green colored book to encourage and keep track of deposits made to prepare for Christmas expenses. There is a colored drawing of Santa Clause on the cover. The booklet has suggestion on how much to deposit weekly based on the total you would like for the next Christmas season. The lowest amount is to save a total of $12.75. It also includes a page of rules & regulations and the back cover has suggests on how to "Get the Habit".
History
Holland City Bank was the first bank in Holland, opening in 1878 at 30 8th Street. In 1892, a new building was built at the corner of 8th and River at a cost of $27,000. The new structure was known as the Holland City Bank Building (today the Tower Clock Building). In 1936, Holland City Bank merged with the First State Bank to become the Holland State Bank. First State Bank was organized in 1889 at 8th and Central.
