Items in accession 2016.26 that pertain to orchards and flowers were collected by John Van Appledorn (1909-2004). He worked with and took over for his father Louis J. Van Appledorn (1887-1953) and uncle John Van Appledorn (1892-1944) in the hatchery and orchard businesses. They were located in Holland Charter Township on East 32nd Street.
