Description
White model, partly made of wood, of a goat. This model was used to cast the iron goat statues of "Oscar" the Holland Furnace mascot. Model was glued together and painted by Eddie Brolin from Baker Furniture.
History
Holland Furnace began in 1906, founded by John P. Kolla (1860-1933) and his son-in-law, August H. Landwehr (1880-1937). By 1948, the company had a branch in 48 states with sales reaching $41 million. Holland Furnace ceased production in 1962.
