Description
Holder, possibly for a pin cushion, carved from the hoof of a cow. Very ornate flowers within circles.
History
This is part of a collection of objects carved by master carver Michiel Schijve. He was born May 1, 1875 in the Netherlands on a farm to Izaak and Antoinette Schijve. He died in June of 1974 on Oostburg, Netherlands.
