Items from donation 2017.2 belonged to George Kuiper, they were donated in his loving memory by his family.

George Henry Kuiper was born February 24, 1926 in Holland, MI to George Kuiper, Sr. (1900-1990) and Minnie Vos Kuiper (1888-1992).

He attended Holland Christian schools, graduating in 1944. That summer he attended artillery training at Camp Roberts in California. George served in the Army's Battery "A" 191st Field Artillery Battalion. George arrived in France in December of 1944. He would soon be a participant in the Battle of the Bulge. He left Europe for home in June 1946.

George married Gladys Overbeek on May 7, 1948. He worked for Roamer Boats before starting his own company, Zeeland Industries.
