Black and white photograph showing five people. The gentleman in the back, at left, is Berend Bos. His wife Grace is standing beside him. Seated are Berend's parents, Tammo Bos (1873-1949) and Lammechien Engelage (1875-1971). The baby is Brenda Elizabeth Bos.History
The donor, Brenda E. Bos, was born in Holland, MI on 4-7-1940. Her grandparents, Tammo and Lammechien, traveled to Holland, MI from their home in the Netherlands to see baby Brenda in April of 1940.When their visit came to a close and they prepared to head back home to the Netherlands, they received word that the country had been taken over by Nazi Germany. They would spend the next several years living in Holland, MI, before eventually returning to the Netherlands after the war.
