History
This photo was taken in the backyard at 259 West 23rd Street in Holland, MI. This small tree was given to Brenda's parents, Berend and Grace Bos, in 1941, the year the house was built. Grace's parents, Jacob and Sara Vander Putten, were the people that gave Berend and Grace the tree.
Brenda still lives in this house. The tree had to come down in 2000 due to Dutch Elm disease. See 2017.18.70, photo album, for photos of this tree coming down.
