The donor and the the artist are one and the same. Ralph J. Schepers (1861-1943), son of Rev. Jacob R. Schepers and Jantien Lanning, lived in Holland, MI. He remained single.Ralph is buried beside his sister, Bertha Wolters, in Pilgrim Home Cemetery in Holland, MI.
