Currency, .25 cent bill from the State of North Carolina, dated 9-1-1862.
History
This more than likely belonged to the donor's father, Nelson Ogden (1845-1911), a Civil War veteran. By 1880, Nelson was living in Holland, MI with his wife Martha and their six children (George, Edw., Charles, Clyde, Arthur and Maud).
