Description
Wooden barber's chair, no arms.  There are numerous initials carved into the back of the chair.  "L.R." appears to be the largest set of initials, in the center, near the bottom of the chair back.
History
barber chair used on the Ryersma farm at Maple Island

The donor was Albert W. Baker (1871-1960). Baker operated a used furniture store out of 211 River Ave in Holland, MI in 1938 (city directory). His other business, Baker Transfer, was also located at 211 River.

Albert Baker lived in Holland at 72 West 15th with his wife Bertha (1880-1937).

I find no mention of a Ryersma family in the Holland, MI area. No mention of Maple Island either. My guess is that this barber's chair came from Baker's used furniture store.
