This Bible was the Gerben W. "Germ" and Grietje Mokma family Bible. Several pages contain information on marriage, birth and death.Germ was born on 3-7-1846 in the Netherlands. He served with the 24th Michigan Infantry during the Civil War.
Germ and Grietje were married in 1868 in Graafschap, MI. Germ passed away on 1-5-1912.
The donor, Evelyn De Vries, was born in 1872 in Fillmore, Allegan County, MI. to Germ and Grietje Mokma. She married Albert J. De Vries (1867-1919). Evelyn passed away in 1942 and was buried in Pilgrim Home Cemetery.
Evelyn and Albert lived in Holland at 440 College Ave.
