Wooden, oval-shaped sewing box. Brown on the outside, tan on the inside. The oval piece of wood, representing the side of the box, is one piece of wood, connected on the inside by four wooden pegs.History
Brought from the Netherlands in 1849 by Jacobus Pieters Rookus. He was born in Zeeland, Netherlands on 2-11-1799. He passed away in July of 1851.Records show that Jacobus had settled with his family in Zeeland, MI by 1850.
