Black and white photograph of Dok & Son Meat Market. Handwritten on the back it says "Bert Dok, W. side of River Ave, between 8th & 9th". The City Directory of 1897 states "Bert Dok, butcher, 90 W 9th St.
History
Albertus "Bert" Dok was born 12-6-1869 in Holland, MI to Cornelis and Geesje Dok. They lived in Holland at 90 West 9th Street (1897, 1903, 1906 city directories). Dok & Son refers to Cornelis and his son Bert.
