According to Holland City Directories, Doesburg Drug Store was located at 32 East 8th from as early as 1897 and as late as 1938. J.O. (Jacob Otto) Doesburg (1838-1908) operated the store originally, with his son Harry (1866-1937) later taking over.In 1938, after the death of Harry, Fred Meppelink bought and operated the store.
