History
Dirk Dedel was born in the Netherlands in 1869. He came to Holland, MI in 1936 and began working as a wood carver at Baker Furniture. He lived in Holland, MI with wife Francina (1889-1974) at 42 East 14th St. Dirk passed away in Holland in 1953. Both Dirk and Francina are buried in Pilgrim Home Cemetery in Holland, MI.

The name “Cornelis Zwaan” is visible in the lower right corner. Cornelis was a Dutch-American painter born 5-11-1882 in the Netherlands, died 5-17-1964 in Detroit, MI, lived in the US from 1909 until his death.
