History
Items from donation 1947.25, a gift to the Museum from Deane Nykamp, are from the Estate of Benjamin A. Mulder (1872-1947).

Ben was a Holland, MI resident and editor of the Holland City News. He lived at 79 West 15th with his wife Mary Van Landegend (1871-1946). They were married in Holland, MI on May 10, 1893. Ben was the son of Leendert and Janke Mulder.

Egbert Fredriks was born in the Netherlands on 12-28-1815. He married Anna Harms in the Netherlands on 9-21-1843. Egbert passed away on 10-8-1888 in Laketown, Allegan Co., MI.

Evert Zagers was born in Bentheim, Germany on 7-23-1814. He passed away in Holland, MI on 3-10-1884. His second wife, Hillegiem Poppen, was born in the Netherlands in 1826. She passed away in Holland, MI on 6-21-1890. Both are buried in Graafscap Cemetery in Holland, MI.

They were married in Zeeland, MI on 12-19-1847. The 1860 US Census shows the couple living in Holland, MI. By 1880 they hade moved to Laketown, Allegan County, MI (1880 US Census).
