Description
Holland Furnace Company furnace installed in church in Allegan. Church built wood partition too close to furnace pipe and fire resulted.
History
Holland Furnace began in 1906, founded by John P. Kolla (1860-1933) and his son-in-law, August H. Landwehr (1880-1937). By 1948, the company had a branch in 48 states with sales reaching $41 million. Holland Furnace ceased production in 1962.
