Solid iron pestle and mortar used to grind dust.
History
the donor's father, Machiel (Michael) Sweyd, brought the family to New York in 1894. Both Jaques and his father worked as diamond cutters and polishers. Which is why 1959.9 was donated to the Netherlands Museum/Holland Museum.
