History
These belonged to Rev. John H. Karsten (1833-1914), grandfather of the donor. John was married to Adrianne Van der Tak by AC Van Raalte in 1865. He served as editor of De Hope, Hope College’s newspaper, in 1884. He died in Holland in 1914.
