The dishes in 1971.29.1 through 7 were given to the donor’s mother, Alice Nevenzel Brower (1864-1927), as a wedding gift in 1894 when Alice married Gerrit Brower (1869-1922). Alice and Gerrit were residents of Hamilton, MI.The gift came from Anna Van Raalte Kleinheksel (1856-1914), daughter of A.C. and Christina Van Raalte. Alice worked as a maid for Ann Van Raalte Kleinheksel.
