Description
Large, ebony linnenkast, or, linen cabinet, made of rose wood and black ebony during the mid to late 17th century.
History
This cabinet was made in the mid to late 17th century for the owner of Sterkenburg Castle near Utrecht, Netherlands. It was brought to the US in 1949 by Cornelis van Sterkenburg and donated to the museum in 1973 by his widow.
