History
This fresnel lens was manufactured in Paris, France in 1894. The lens was removed from Holland's lighthouse in 1977 at the request of the Holland Harbor Lighthouse Historical Commission and the Netherlands Museum (now known as the Holland Museum). There was concern that the lens would be damaged by vandals if left in the lighthouse.
