Painting, Dutch, of a Dutchman seated at a table, holding a glass in his left hand and a tankard in his right.
History
This painting belonged to Holland, MI resident Paul Henry de Kruif (March 2, 1890; Zeeland, Michigan-February 28, 1971; Holland, Michigan). Paul was an American microbiologist and author of Dutch descent. He is most noted for his 1926 book, Microbe Hunters.
