Engraved by A.B.Ritchie. Print of Lincoln reading Emancipation Proclamation to his cabinet. Print made from original painting by FB Carpenter in the White House. This steel engraving is part of the original furnishings of the Isaac Cappon house in Holland. Cappon, an ardent Republican, purchased the print around 1874. It had hung in the house's front hall.
