This postcard was sent in November of 1913 to Ruth A. Bartels Van Dyke (1909-1984), address 307 W. 18th, Holland, MI.The postcard was sent by her aunt, Hermina “Minnie” Bartels Dirkse (1886-1978), sister to Ruth’s father A. John Bartels (1884-1957).
The “Aunt Clara” and “Uncle Manus” mentioned in the note refer to Ruth’s aunt Clara Zwemer Bartels and uncle Hermanus Bartels (1888-1967).
