History
Lawrence Tanis (1890-1977) was born and raised in Vriesland, MI. He attended Hope College. He then went on to teach industrial arts classes near Detroit. Lawrence returned to Holland, Mi in his later life to live.
He is buried in Vriesland Cemetery.
