Clear glass commercial milk bottle with embossed lettering on one side: "Consumer's Dairy - Holland, Mich." "MTC" symbol with "Registered" on lower edge; large embossed "C" on bottom; numbered 18c. Embossed design around top of neck: "A Bottle of Milk is a Bottle of Health." Half pint size.History
Consumer’s Dairy appears in the Holland City Directory from 1927 through 1949 under the management of Benjamin Speet. It was located at 136 W. 27th in Holland, MI.Members of the Speet family also operated the Hillcrest Creamery (Elmer Speet, Richard Speet).
Benjamin is buried in Pilgrim Home beside his wife Hattie.
By 1949, Arnold Hoek was operating Consumer’s Dairy at 140 W. 27th.
