History
Print created by John De Pree. There are four people buried in Holland's Pilgrim Home Cemetery with the name John De Pree. Could one of these four be the John De Pree that created 1992.8? John D. De Pree was known as an expert artist and engraver. John made woodcut blocks to create prints of different colors and textures. He spent many years studying art. John has 3 brothers: Con, of De Pree Chemical Company, James and Jack. In February 1897, John was arrested as an alleged member of the Kingston gang of counterfeiters.
